CULVER CITY, CA – March 28, 2016 – getTV puts the spotlight on some of Hollywood’s most notable names, with an impressive April lineup featuring acclaimed war epics, classic crime dramas, breathtaking love stories, and more, airing in primetime all month long. The roster includes themed-double features honoring cinema icons Spencer Tracy, Gregory Peck, and Bette Davis; as well as birthday blocks honoring William Holden and Barbra Streisand; a month of CRIME DOCTOR mysteries starring Warner Baxter; Shirley MacLaine and Elizabeth Taylor in the 2001 romp THESE OLD BROADS; and fan-favorite Harrison Ford in the beloved romance HANOVER STREET.

Spencer Tracy—Fri., Apr. 1 at 8 p.m. ET
getTV salutes celebrated actor Spencer Tracy, starring as a priest who teams with a reluctant convict (Frank Sinatra) to save children from a volcano in THE DEVIL AT 4 O’CLOCK, with Kerwin Mathews. And Tracy searches for an easy way out in the 1933 Depression drama MAN’S CASTLE, with Loretta Young, at 11 p.m. ET.
Gregory Peck—Sun., Apr. 3 at 8 p.m. ET
Golden Age icon Gregory Peck stars as a moralistic sheriff led astray by alluring siren Tuesday Weld, in John Frankenheimer’s I WALK THE LINE, featuring a soundtrack by Johnny Cash. And Anthony Quinn’s Spanish policeman schemes to trap Peck’s infamous bandit in BEHOLD A PALE HORSE, with Omar Sharif, at 10:20 p.m. ET.
THE CRIME DOCTOR—Every Thursday in April, at 8 p.m. ET
Warner Baxter stars as amnesiac Robert Ordway, in a month of mystery highlighting eight of Columbia Pictures’ most thrilling Crime Doctor films. The event begins on April 7, as Ordway discovers his criminal past in CRIME DOCTOR, and helps murder suspect Lloyd Bridges in THE CRIME DOCTOR’S STRANGEST CASE, at 9:35 p.m. ET. On April 14, Ordway fights to clear an artist in THE CRIME DOCTOR’S WARNING, directed by William Castle, and investigates a widower’s death in THE CRIME DOCTOR’S COURAGE, at 9:45 p.m. ET. Then, on April 21, Ordway meets a killer with split personalities in CRIME DOCTOR’S MAN HUNT, and finds a poisoned Casanova in THE MILLERSON CASE, at 9:30 p.m. ET. The month wraps up on April 28, as Ordway solves a stabbing in THE CRIME DOCTOR’S GAMBLE, and aids a framed patient in THE CRIME DOCTOR’S DIARY, at 9:45 p.m. ET.
Bette Davis—Fri., Apr. 8 at 8 p.m. ET
Bette Davis shines in two films, starring as a librarian accused of communism in STORM CENTER, with Kim Hunter. And Davis is caught in the middle when her troubled daughter stabs her lover in WHERE LOVE HAS GONE, with Susan Hayward, at 10:05 p.m. ET.
THESE OLD BROADS (2001)—Sun., Apr. 10 at 8 p.m. ET
Three divas struggle to put their feud aside when a re-release of their hit musical resurrects their popularity, in this comedy starring Elizabeth Taylor, Debbie Reynolds, Joan Collins, and Shirley MacLaine.
William Holden—Fri., Apr. 15 at 8 p.m. ET
getTV puts the spotlight on William Holden, two days before what would have been his 98th birthday, in this two-pack starring Holden as a tugboat captain who falls for beautiful recluse Sophia Loren in THE KEY. Then, at 11:05 p.m. ET, Holden’s violent criminal holds Lee J. Cobb hostage in THE DARK PAST, with Nina Foch.

Beloved leading man Harrison Ford stars as an American pilot who begins a passionate affair with beautiful nurse Lesley-Anne Down, in this classic WW2 romance.
FOR PETE’S SAKE (1974)—Sun., Apr. 24 at 8 p.m. ET
getTV celebrates Barbra Streisand’s birthday, with a special presentation of the 1974 comedy FOR PETE’S SAKE, starring Streisand as a desperate housewife whose quest to get $3,000 for her husband’s big investment puts her in contact with a loan shark, the mob, cattle ranchers, and more. Michael Sarrazin and Estelle Parsons also star.
