CULVER CITY, CA – March 25, 2019 – Beginning Monday, April 1, getTV will begin airing two back-to-back episodes of the hour-long action-dramaThe Unit, created by David Mamet (Glengarry Glen Ross, The Verdict).

Jeff Meier, SVP Programming & General Manager of getTV, said, “The Unitis one of the best and most exciting action series of the 2000s, and will be the perfect complement to Walker, Texas Rangerin making getTV the daytime broadcast TV destination for action fans.” 

The Unit, which originally aired from March 2005 to May 2009, explores the U.S. Army Special Operations unit commonly known as Delta Force, an elite group within the U.S. Army where recruits that are selected undergo rigorous training in counterterrorism, reconnaissance, and direct-action missions. Based on the book Inside Delta Force: The Story of America’s Elite Counterterrorist Unitby Eric L Haney, the show takes place on fictional army post “Fort Griffith” and depicts the lives and missions of its members, along with their families back home.
