CULVER CITY, CA – September 19, 2017 – getTV will add back-to-back episodes of the supernatural drama series “Ghost Whisperer,” starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, to its weekday lineup beginning September 25 at 1 and 2PM ET/12N and 1PM C. The popular series, which ran for six seasons and first aired on CBS from September 2005 until May 2010, casts Hewitt as Melinda Gordon, a newlywed young woman who can communicate with the earthbound spirits of people who have died -- and who seek her help. David Conrad co-stars as Melinda’s paramedic husband, Jim Clancy.
The show’s storylines were inspired by the work of real life spirit communicator/paranormal investigator Mary Ann Winkowski, who served as a consultant and producer on the series. New York Times best-selling author (The Power of Love: Connecting to the Oneness) and world-renowned psychic medium James Van Praagh served as a consultant during the series’ second season.
The show’s supporting cast includes Camrym Manheim (Seasons 2-6), Christoph Sanders (Seasons 4-6), Jamie Sanders (Seasons 4-6), Jay Mohr (Seasons 2-4), Aisha Tyler (Seasons 1-5),
Connor Gibbs (Seasons 5 & 6) and Kenneth Mitchell (Seasons 4 & 5), with guest stars including Academy Award winner Brie Larson (“Room”), Academy Award nominees June Squibb (“Nebraska”), Anne Archer (“Fatal Attraction”), Bruce Davison (“Longtime Companion”), Michael O’Keefe (“The Great Santini”), David Paymer (“Mr. Saturday Night”), Abigail Breslin (“Little Miss Sunshine”) and Tess Harper (“Crimes of the Heart”); and Emmy Award winner Christine Baranski (“The Good Wife”); Grammy winner Mary J. Blige, as well as Matthew Morrison (“Glee”), Hilary Duff (“Younger”), Giancarlo Esposito and Aaron Paul (“Breaking Bad”) and Cesar Millan (“The Dog Whisperer”).
