Doc, starring music superstar Billy Ray Cyrus, follows the journey of Clint Cassidy, a handsome country doctor from Montana whose love for a woman takes him cross-country to a new life in the Big Apple. When he finds a job at a Manhattan HMO, his down-to-earth style and compassion endear him to patients, but bring resistance from colleagues. His romance begins to unravel and he finds himself alone in the big city, but when a dying woman pleads with Clint to care for her son, he discovers new meaning in life and begins the task of finding a new home for the boy. Richard Leacock co-stars as a police officer who befriends Clint, with 9-year-old newcomer Tyler Garcia Posey as the orphaned youngster who wins Doc's heart, Andrea Robinson as Doc's perky nurse, and Derek McGrath as the HMO doctor who often sides with Doc.
